Functions

AMI Knowledge Discovery is a packaged solution built using Webservices and XML for its data flow.

The XML flow can be integrated directly into a target system interface or via AMI Knowledge Discovery as described in the (demonstration centre).

The principal functions of the software are as follows :

Free Text Search with broad tolerance for language and expression.

Boolean Search with the ability to combine requests in Boolean and Free Text.

Automatic recognition and "taken into account" expressions.

Multi-criteria Search : free text and/or meta data.

Multi-Source Federated Search, single access to all internal and external data sources (indexing and connection via AMI generic connector).

Search by Similarity : the request can be a paragraph of text ; documents containing similar information (words and expressions) are searched and sorted by semantic proximity (joint words and expressions).

 

Presentation of results by source or in the form of an amalgamated list of results federating the various sources with multimode sorting (relevance, date, author and any other meta data).

Categorisation of the results according to a classification plan .

Automatic Classification (clustering) of the results and the ability to navigate within the clusters. Extraction of named entities (Names, Locations, Organisations, General Concepts (and any other regular expressions) and the ability to focus or navigate using the extracted entities.
Identification of related topics, i.e. expressions in the flow of results correlated with the terms of the request.
Automatic extraction of quotations within the document and presentation of two or three key sentences.

Automatic extraction of "directed"quotations by taking account of the request.

Automatic Summary of the relevant key expressions in the document with the ability to navigate within the document (optional).

Ability to submit many different "indicators" with the request : e.g. level of relevance, proof, source, author, index, popularity, etc...

"Taken into account of" vocabulary and specialist Thesauri.

Respect for security policies in place and compatibility with LDAP : only those sections or documents that the user has access to are shown.

Standard or Personalised Interfaces both graphically and functionally ; delivery of XML flow with library functions.

Integration with other software applications (CMS, DMS, CRM...) via AMI's generic connector and connection to external sources.

 

Built on an evolutionary modular architecture AMI Knowledge Discovery can fully utilise all the functionality of AMI Enterprise Intelligence, in particular the automated data Collection, Alert, Publishing and Analysis functions.
