Performance
The first customers to use AMI back in 1999 were Search Engines and Information Portals such as Free and Fast/alltheWeb which is today part of the Yahoo group. This early focus was essential because, from the outset, it led the company to design algorithms specifically to handle very large volumes of data with very fast response times. The AMI specific algorithms are, today, at the core of our current products. Applied to the demanding world of the Enterprise AMI offers exceptional value and performance as is continually validated by the testing and benchmarking carried out by our many customers over the years.
AMI regularly evaluates for inclusion all new standards and ideas as they emerge, in particular those from TREC (The Text REtrieval Conference), a series of conferences co-sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Advanced Research and Development Activity (ARDA) centre of the US department of Defense. TREC's purpose is to encourage research in information retrieval from large scale text collections.
