The AMI product set for collecting information and monitoring sources, in particular AMI Collect part of the AMI Enterprise Intelligence platform, is specifically designed to perform these complex tasks.

Indeed, collection of information goes well beyond the request sent to a Search Engine as is often the case with solutions that rely on simple (and in some cases more complex) Search Engines. This guarantee's that received information is :

  • News and not "Noise" which can so easily render data collection systems unusable

  • De-duplicated i.e. not a duplicate of information already identified (unless the user asks for it explicitly)

  • Relevant, with a variable threshold of relevance representing the user's own expectations and requirements. (e.g. either everything there is to know on the subject or, on the contrary, be very precise)

  • Dated (a complex operation for external sources and often not very reliable) and structured (source, author, key words...) to allow its further use and development.

AMI's automated data collection processes deliver all these functions as a result of its multi-index architecture and by construction of a date and reference index which represents a true record of the system content safeguarding the user from receiving thousands of items, some of which may already have been seen.

AMI's automated data collection technology fully utilises all the functionality of AMI's Search technology, in particular the use of expressions and data source connection capabilities.
